Value: Asset based platform

Recently, in a sales demo for Modul: Accomplish, we were asked about a specific capability: does it allow for document upload and retention. At that point, we had not added that feature … anyone who has acted in sales engineering knows that the moment a potential customer asks about a feature not currently available, things can get rocky for the remainder of the demo. Sure, one can explain the development process and how the feature can be added for the customer, perhaps even with a short turnaround time, but that awkward moment can be frightening.

In our case, document upload and retention is a feature-asset that we have already developed in our framework, we just hadn’t pushed that asset to the project management app.

Thus, when we were asked that question by the potential customer, we were simply able to open one of our other apps on the framework, Modul: Personnel, and demonstrate how the asset works in another application. Visualizing the feature, even though in another application, enabled us to easily show that we do have the capability to add the feature, and the demo continued on with great engagement.

Having an asset library for our framework has not only allowed us to more rapidly deploy new applications and new customizations, it has further given us confidence in our business development activities, by being able to demonstrate our full capabilities and create trust in our customers when we discuss “time-to-complete” scenarios. When we showed the feature in another application, and we stated we can add that feature in a few days, the customer felt confident in our reply.

Modul the name, and the intentional modularity of the framework is ingrained in every action we take as a company. The value-proposition to our customers and our bottom line is immense, and allows us to continue to create elegant solutions for workflow optimization for any budget.
