Power of Simplicity

Recently, one of our partner organizations was going through re-accreditation for their digital health programs. Part of that re-accreditation was a demonstration of their clinic-flow process, including the care delivery methods, the hardware used in the clinics, and their telehealth software platform (a Modul app).

During the demo, our partner was getting great feedback on their care model, and how it accounted for all of the parameters the accrediting agency looks at: capability, compliance, efficacy, and so on. It wasn’t surprising to the partner that their virtual care model met the stringent requirements for accreditation, what was surprising were the comments on how simple and effective their platform managed all of the parameters being reviewed.

Modul apps are designed to meet the business requirements of our partners in the simplest way possible. When this simplicity is recognized by external organizations that measure effectiveness of comparable platforms across the U.S., the compliment is extremely meaningful, and fuels our efforts to continue to provide the user-friendly solutions to our users.

Many - to - Many - to - Many …

One of the areas of simplicity our telehealth platform delivers is managing access-to-care for patients across many different sites. Creating pathways for many patients to access many providers from many access points is a terribly difficult process to manage manually. The balancing act of enabling 30,000 patients to access health services from hundreds of telehealth providers from over 50 different access points requires a flexible system that can instantly apply a rules’ engine to system inputs.

Solving the problems of: eliminating double booking, effective loading of provider schedules, negating inappropriate scheduling, and ensuring access-to-care requires a formidable back-end framework. Also, ensuring the system can flex as needed as conditions change, without “re-coding” is important to lower the cost of ownership as well as expediting the administrative changes to support an ever evolving care delivery model.

We’re so happy for our partner’s success in their re-accreditation process, and can’t wait to see how we can continue to create innovations to ensure they stay ahead of the curve in their digital care model.
